Thanks to the auto-frothing milk carafe, the Velasca Prestige can produce milk drinks at the push of a button. Simply remove the carafe from the fridge, attach it, press a single button, and the Prestige makes a cappuccino or other milk drink with no user intervention and to your specifications. Milk is frothed twice before dispensing to ensure ideal temperature and texture, and then espresso is brewed over the top. For easy, hygienic cleaning, the machine has a dedicated button to rinse the milk circuit after each use. Then you can put the carafe back in the fridge and it’s ready to go for next time.

The ceramic burr grinder has 10 settings so you can fine-tune the flavor you want. Plus, it has a bypass doser for pre-ground coffees, like decaf. You can also customize the flavor, with the aroma selector which changes the strength by changing the amount of coffee ground for each cup. The pre-infusion feature is another way this smart machine lets you customize your brew. Choose, “on,” “off,” or “extra” pre-infusion to adjust the brew extraction.

Front slide out access makes it easy to fill the water reservoir, empty the drip tray, or empty the grind bin. And maintaining your Velasca Prestige is easy, thanks to the automatic rinse cycle and removable brew unit. Simply pop out the brew unit for a quick rinse in your sink every few weeks to keep your coffee tasting fresh and your machine functioning properly. Included is a water hardness test strip, so you can test your water; program the hardness into the machine; and it will alert you when it’s time to run a descaling cycle.
